Disney films, once synonymous with family-friendly entertainment, must now be approached with a high degree of caution by parents, according to a new documentary produced by the Catholic League.

“American parents now have to really shield their children from Disney movies, which, would have been unthinkable when I was growing up,” Michael McDonald told God Reports. McDonald is director of communications for the Catholic League.

The 50-minute documentary, “Walt’s Disenchanted Kingdom,” features appearances by commentator Mercedes Schlapp; Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council; Dr. Ben Carson; Miranda Devine, columnist for the NY Post; and Brent Bozell, president of the Media Research Center.

Bill Donohue, president of the Catholic League, and Jason Killian Meath are the Executive Producers.  Meath also wrote and directed the film.

“This came to fruition last year in response to Disney going after Florida’s Parental Rights and Education Act,” McDonald told God Reports. “Bob Chapek, the CEO at the time, didn’t really want to get involved. But then radicals that worked at Disney forced his hand and he came out and spoke against it, saying that Disney was going to work to repeal the law, that parents really need to take a backseat because this was so dangerous to LGBTQ youth.”

“Walt Disney stuck up for American values and American principles,” he added.  “Its forays into social and sexual engineering must be enough to make him turn over in his grave.”

McDonald cited an episode of Baymax (streaming on Disney Plus) that features a transgender man who buys tampons at a supermarket.

Another example is the animated Disney movie “Strange World”, which featured the first openly LGBTQ+ teenaged Disney character, who discusses his same-sex infatuation in the movie. The film bombed at the box office, confirmation of the ‘go woke, go broke’ mantra.

“Last year at the worst, they lost over 40% of their stock value. So people are starting to wake up,” McDonald observes.

“Our culture is in crisis, and what is driving much of it is a callous disregard for the innocence of children. Too many activists, celebrities and educators are bent on indoctrinating young boys and girls with some very sick ideas. Regrettably, Disney is one of the most guilty players.”
