It was a strange coincidence that political activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated immediately after answering a question about Trans shooters, and his alleged killer appears to be motivated by romantic involvement with a biological male transitioning to female.
When Ben Carson spoke at the very moving Charlie Kirk Memorial Service, he drew out another unusual fact related to the timing of the shooting.
“I want to read a passage from John 12:24,” Carson said, in a slow, measured tone, “remembering that Charlie was shot at 12:24 p.m.”
Verily, verily, I say unto you, (this is Christ speaking). Except a corn of wheat fall onto the ground and die, it abideth alone. But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
“And I want to thank Charlie for his sacrifice, because much fruit is going to be realized,” Carson concluded, to a standing ovation.
Carson’s speech was one of the highlights of the event, attended by over 90,000 people, including President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and other officials. He defended Kirk against critics (notably Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who called Kirk “ignorant” for lacking a college degree), criticized leftist influences on churches and education, and ended with the John 12:24 verse.
“Did you hear a political figure say Charlie Kirk was ignorant because he didn’t have a college degree? I’ve seen him run circles around people with degrees,” Carson said.
“Our rights come from our Creator and not from government… I challenge the ministers out there to talk about what the Bible says and not what the leftists say.”
“Marxists have hijacked our schools, Hollywood, and even some pulpits—watering down scripture into a ‘social gospel.'”
“You cannot be the land of the free if you’re not the home of the brave. You’ve got to be brave and stand up for what you believe in.”
“Get on board with the revival that is coming,” Carson said.
