Duck Dynasty: The Revival’s Will Robertson reflects on his adoption journey and how he embraced his true calling in a new White Chair film released today from the global storytelling ministry, I Am Second. ![]()
Adopted at just five weeks old, Will recognized from an early age that he was different from the rest of his family. As the Robertsons rose to fame through DuckDynasty, public attention brought questions about his upbringing and place within the family. Yet, despite the criticism, Will was unshaken and never doubted that he was a Robertson.
“I’m just a part of this family, and that’s all you need to know,” said Will in response to public scrutiny. “You don’t have to be blood to be family. That really shows the power and the blessing of adoption.”
Even with a strong sense of belonging and the knowledge that he was deeply loved, Will was still curious about his identity. It wasn’t until middle school that Will began to connect the dots and recognize God’s hand at work in his life.
After a conversation with his mother, Will learned that his childhood best friend was actually his biological brother. With this knowledge, Will felt an immense amount of joy and would go on to develop a relationship with both his biological brother and mother.

Reflecting on his upbringing and the path that led him to understand more about his identity, Will began to see his faith in a new light, realizing that there are no coincidences when following God’s plan.
“There is no other way that it could have happened but God,” said Will. “I learned that he is way more than just a man up in the sky. He is a father, and he is a friend.”
As Will embraced his purpose and grew closer with God, he began to discover not only who he was but who he was becoming—someone deeply passionate about singing. Today, Will writes music and leads worship for LO Worship, a Louisiana-based worship band founded by Sadie Robertson Huff’s ministry, Live Original.
In addition to the launch of Will’s film, I Am Second will release “Stories from Uncle Si,” personal reflections from Will’s uncle, Si Robertson. The series will be available exclusively on the I Am Second YouTube page (@IAm2nd) on November 21, 2025.
