In Muslim’s dream, Jesus walked on water toward him

In a small village in the Horn of Africa, Mohamed grew up like most children in his community—born into a Muslim family and in Islamic traditions. Daily prayers at the mosque and the teachings of Islam were all he knew.

That began to change when several of his friends embraced faith in Isa (Jesus). Knowing Mohamed’s good character, they felt comfortable sharing their newfound beliefs with him and even invited him to follow Isa as well. Mohamed politely declined but remained close to his friends, occasionally joining their Bible study.

Over time, the Bible stories and truths he heard during these gatherings began to leave a deep impression on him. Sometimes, he even shared what he was learning with his family. This continued for several months, with Mohamed quietly observing and pondering.

Then one night, everything changed. Mohamed dreamed he was standing on a riverbank when he saw a man walking on water towards him. Amazed and curious, Mohamed asked the man who he was. The man replied, “I am Isa Almasih (Jesus Christ).” Mohamed woke up from the dream, shaken, yet filled with a new sense of purpose.

The next morning, he sought out his friends and excitedly told them about his dream. This encounter with Isa Almasih was the turning point. Mohamed officially joined the Bible study and soon placed his faith in Jesus. Despite being unable to read or write, Mohamed’s passion for the Lord grew, and he eventually started his own Bible study group, relying on audio Bibles.

In the years that followed, Mohamed’s group multiplied into six other Bible studies, each one birthing more gatherings. Today, over 40 Muslim background believers meet secretly in his village, all thanks to Mohamed’s witness and the power of the Gospel.

Now, Mohamed and the Bible studies face a new challenge: a tribal conflict has erupted against a neighboring tribe, leading to tragic loss of life. They are fervently praying for peace and reconciliation. Please join them in prayer for an end to the conflict and for God’s peace to reign. — Partners
