Father, we thank You that Your mercies are new each morning. Thank You for Your grace. We love you, Father.

As we sit in the shadow of all the events converging in our nation’s capital yesterday, many of us feel speechless, not knowing how to make any sense of it.

As I was praying all day and on the IFA prayer call, I kept stepping back to pray for Vice President Pence and asking that he would only move as the Lord was leading him.  We have all written his story for this hour, believing that on January 6th he was the man to bring this vote home, that he was the man to part the sea to “impossible.”  We have all been praying and believing that he would be bold and take a stance.

But, what if HE wasn’t the man for this job?  What if he was never called to step in and call a halt to all of this?

A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.  (Prv 21:2)

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. (Prv 3:5-6)

The bottom line is the Lord sees the BIGGER picture.  He sees past this year, past the next four years.  He sees where we would go with a change in presidency and where we would go with another four years.

I am still holding on until the inauguration.  The God of the impossible has shown up before and we say “do it again”!  Jesus even showed up too late – and still brought forth a miracle with Lazarus.

I stand like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace.

“King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”  Dn 3:16

I stand at the precipice.  My faith is still unwavering.  Impossible is all my vocabulary knows how to articulate, and yet I have heard far too many words to give in now.  But, even if…

We will still choose to praise Him and recognize that He has allowed to live through such a time as this.  No matter how these last days go before the inauguration and into 2021, we have to believe in God’s greater purposes and plans.  The dark could become darker than many of us have known in our lifetimes.  But, what if this is what is needed for a even greater display of His Glory!

[The Lord] has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].  2 Cor 12:9-10 AMP

I am still certain that I will see the goodness of God is the land of the living (Ps 27:13).  I know not how the days remaining will play out.  I know not how this new year will unfold.  But this I know – my God is more than able!  But no matter what, I will choose to praise Him and bring Him glory, honor and praise all the days of my life!  I will not fear.  I choose to trust in HIM!

  1. Thank you for the encouragement and words of hope. I am also standing in faith and believing for a miracle for God to heal our land. I believe He is working, but I confess the events of the past few days have been very difficult to witness. My heart is sorrowful but I still believe He will use it all for His Glory. Lord Jesus come and send us revival and a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit!

  2. Thank you for the uplifting article…I agree with the post made by Sister Vicky wholeheartedly…I too still hold onto the promises of our Father…I believe in our history there has never been a time that the whole world is watching and waiting for something miraculous to happen…I pray that President Trump receives another 4 years & Justice is served …and evil overcome & removed
In the mighty name of our Savior & Redeemer the Lord Jesus Christ…

Let me take a stab at it. The far Left infiltrated the crowd and instigated the storming of the Capitol Building. The Capitol Police leadership was in on it, having sent some men home earlier in the morning, when they knew the demonstration would be headed there a bit later, and then actually removing barricades and escorting the crowd in. Frustrated unthinking patriots were drawn into the heat of the moment. It was a perfect setup to create a scandal to pin on the President, and yes, his “Wild” rhetoric played right into it.

The Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself), swung right into action, and even most Republicans folded like an accordion. It was an orchestrated hit job, and it worked spectacularly.

Where does this leave us? Pretty much at the end of human ability. The President apparently has resigned himself to a transfer of power (though to be sure, that is distinct from conceding losing the election, which he did not do. This is a critical point legally and spiritually, and we need to keep it in mind.)

It leaves us totally dependent upon the Lord, and upon our prayers, a la 2Chr 7.14. We are at a Lazarus moment: “Lord, if You were here my brother would not have died”. The sisters thought that Jesus had shown up too late. But God never shows up late; He is always on time.

The prophets I listen to all say that Trump won and that he will still prevail. One even looks for a turnaround to come in March. For better or worse, I believe them. I don’t understand the details, but I know this battle is worth fighting, and the costs of losing it are unthinkable.

I commend everyone to the “give Him 15” daily prayer series by Dutch Sheets on Youtube and some Christian TV networks. It has been excellent.

    God bless and be well.

  4. Amen and oh yes! Thank you for this reminder in Psalm 118 the Lord also tells us that it’s far better to trust in him and trust in people and far better to trust in him then trust in Kings leaders celebrities. I believe what comes next is a Saul to Paul conversion and confession the evidence is overwhelming but a prominent leader needs to confess and repent. And God will put it on display for all to see maybe multiple people. Nothing is impossible for God!
