Wycliffe Bible Translators USA is dedicated to helping people around the world access Scripture in a language and form they understand best.
It all started in the early 1900s when Cameron Townsend, a Bible salesman, tried to sell Spanish Bibles to Cakchiquel people in Guatemala. He ran into challenges and learned that they didn’t speak or read Spanish. Believing everyone needed the Bible, Cam soon started a small linguistics school to train people for Bible translation. In time, that school grew to become Wycliffe Bible Translators and our many partners.
Today we’re working together on more than 1,700 translation projects, and our vision is to see a Bible translation started in every language that needs it by 2025. God has a plan for Bible translation. He’s using Wycliffe to bring hope to millions of people, and there’s a place for you in His work.

We’ve seen hearts restored and lives transformed when people experience God speaking to them in their own language for the first time. And we won’t stop until everyone has access to the life-changing message of the Gospel. But it takes a lot more than just translators to accomplish this. We need teachers, administrators, IT professionals, pilots, and the list goes on. Click here to learn more about the many opportunities for you to join us.
